Boys’ HS previews: Ches-Mont’s WC East, Bishop Shanahan

One of a series of scholastic previews for the 2026 season

West Chester East
League: Ches-Mont
Head Coach: Nate Bauer enters his seventh season with the program and fourth as head coach, continuing to build a culture rooted in accountability, toughness, and player development. He’s supported by a strong staff:
Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator: Jack Morrison, Offensive Coordinator: Jaime Schemmer, and JV Head Coach: Brian Dolski — a group that brings continuity and clear identity on both ends of the field.
Last year’s Record: 8-9
Opener: March 13, home, vs. Daniel Boone
Returnees: The Vikings return an experienced senior class that will set the tone from day one.
Caden Chisholm, Captain (Sr., Gettysburg commit) – A proven leader and impact player poised to anchor the team.
Declan Crossin, Captain
Maddox Wagner (Sr., Dickinson Football commit) – Brings physicality, athleticism, and competitive edge.

The junior class adds depth and versatility:

Outlook: “The 2026 season brings a new wave of confidence and experience for West Chester East as the Vikings prepare to compete in the always-challenging Ches-Mont League. After finishing 8–9 in 2025, this group returns battle-tested and motivated to take the next step. This returning group provides experience across the field — from scoring punch to defensive stability and transition play.”
