Wings fall to Rochester, 15-12, for first home defeat of season

Joe Resetarits continued his career season with an eight-point game (5G, 3A) and Mitch Jones a goal and seven assists, but the Philadelphia Wings fell, 15-12, to the Rochester Knighthawks Saturday night at Wells Fargo Center in NLL action.

The Wings lost on their home floor for the first time this season, but exit Week 10 in the NLL with a 5-3 record.

The win was Rochester’s third straight on the road and fourth overall of the campaign for the Knighthawks, who improved to 4-6 on the season heading into their first bye week.

Connor Fields and Ryan Lanchbury both had two goals and seven assists for the Knighthawks, while Rylan Hartley had 31 saves.

WINGS NOTES

The Wings chipped away at the lead in the fourth quarter, outscoring Rochester 4-2, but it wasn’t enough to erase the deficit.

Blaze Riorden played his 100th NLL career game.

Holden Cattoni reached 500 NLL career points with his goal in the late second quarter.

Philadelphia will look to bounce back next Saturday when they take on the Halifax Thunderbirds in a 1:00PM game at Wells Fargo Center.
