The Philadelphia Wings fell to the Halifax Thunderbirds, 14-10, in the front half of a home-and-home series between the teams at Wells Fargo Center.
Michael Sowers (Upper Dublin/Princeton/Waterdogs) made his Wings and NLL debut at home, scoring the first goal of his NLL career and tallying two goals and an assist. Joe Resetarits dropped three goals and three assists for a six-point game, holding his place as league-scoring leader with 74 points.
Holden Cattoni hit a career milestone reaching his 300th NLL assist.
For Halifax, Ryan Terefenko (Wilson HS) had three goals, three assists, 10 loose balls and five caused turnovers. Mike Robinson (Univ. of Delaware) added three goals.
The Wings will head to Halifax next Saturday, February 15 at 6 PM. The Wings’ next home game is at Wells Fargo Center on March 8 when they host the Albany Firewolves at 7 PM.Halifax 14, Wings 10
