With the win, the Bears improved to 4-6 overall and 2-1 in Centennial Conference action as they complete a 2-0 week. Meanwhile, the Fords fell to 8-3 overall and 1-2 in Centennial action.

The Fords snapped a 24-minute scoreless stretch to take the lead at 7-6 with 9:46 left to go in the third quarter, but senior Christopher Pucciarelli answered a minute later to tie it at seven. Laskin tallied his fourth goal after senior Ryan Dever led a fast break clear after causing a turnover to give Ursinus its first lead of the game at 8-7 with 5:54 remaining in the third quarter.

Haverford tied the game 50 seconds later and the game went level at eight into the fourth quarter. Harry Sweitzer (La Salle) gave the Bears a 9-8 lead with his second tally of the game at the 13:40-mark, but Haverford needed 52 seconds to tie the game once against nine. Laskin kept the back-and-forth battle going as he gave Ursinus a 10-9 lead at the 11:24-mark, which turned out being the eventual game-winning goal.

Through clutch saves from first-year goalkeeper Colin Daroch and strong defense, the Bears held Haverford without a goal for the final 12:48 of the game. Matt Callahan (Penn Charter) was a key at LSM with five groundballs and two caused turnovers. Will Hussa (Wissahickon) added two caused turnovers and a groundball.

Matt Richards led Haverford with three goals and two assists and Tyler Vendetti scored twice.
