In advance of Friday’s season opener, the Saint Joseph’s women’s lacrosse head coach Alex Kahoe (Agnes Irwin) announced the addition of all 10 newcomers for the 2025 season on Wednesday morning.
The Hawks welcome eight from the high school ranks: Riley Bittinger (Baltimore, Md.), Mya Cote (Mars, Pa.), Briana Cottrell (Annandale, Va.), Claire Fowler (Ursuline Academy-DE/Landenberg, Pa.), Charlie McKeon (Toronto, Ontario), Tess Talbot (Springfield-Montco/Wyndmoor, Pa.), Mary Amelia Wood (Charlotte, N.C.) and Emma Yoder (Springfield-Montco/Oreland, Pa.).
Kate Kaptrosky (Lake Bluff, Ill.) and Devon Maillet (Strath Haven/Swarthmore, Pa.) come to Hawk Hill after spending time at Butler and Colgate, respectively.

Graduate of Ursuline Academy…in senior season, was named USA Lacrosse High School Girls’ All-American honors…also earned DIAA First Team All-State and All-Conference honors in 2024…earned First Team All-Conference honors in 2023 as a junior, named to the DIAA All-State Second Team…scored the game-winning goal at the Delaware Blue-White Senior Girls’ Lacrosse All-Star Game…played club for HHH Philly Girls.

Tied for second on the team with nine caused turnovers
Tallied five multi-goal performances on the year, registering a season-high three goals against Niagara
2022 (at Colgate):
Started in all 18 games as a freshman
Was second on the team with 26 goals and 33 points
Collected 56 draw controls and registered 22 ground balls
Registered eight games with multiple goals, including five games with at least a hat trick
Recorded four goals against Holy Cross and American
Had a career-best eight draw controls in her collegiate debut
Background:
A graduate of Strath Haven…multi-sport athlete, competed in soccer, basketball and lacrosse…scored 100 career goals, including a 65-goal, 150-point performance in her senior season…was named a captain as a senior and led her team to the state tournament…named to the Under Armor Underclass Lacrosse Team in 2018…was a selection to the US Lacrosse Philadelphia Tournament Team in 2018 and 2019…played club for Phantastix Lacrosse Club.

Graduate of Springfield Township High School…helped Springfield Township win the Suburban One League Championship in junior and senior seasons to earn state tournament appearances…was named First Team All-Suburban honors in her junior and senior season, including Suburban One American MVP in 2023…an honorable mention All-Suburban selection as a sophomore…named to USA Lacrosse All-Academic All-American team in her junior season…played club for HHH Philly Girls.
Emma Yoder
