On Saturday May 3 the 20th ANNUAL “LAXAPALOOZA” will be held at Penncrest High School in Media. Laxapalooza was started by Jeff Pettit, co-founder of the Rose Tree Optimist Youth Lacrosse League. Pettit still runs the event with the help of his family, including his son Evan, who is in his first season as Penncrest Boys Lacrosse Head Coach (Evan served as Assistant Coach for 21 years).
Games in the Louis Scott Stadium start at 9am, the Men’s Alum game will face off at 2pm, followed by Girls JV (vs. Hempfield) at 3:30pm, Girls Varsity (Hempfield) at 5:15pm, ending with Boys Varsity (vs. Holy Ghost Prep) at 7pm. There will be ongoing Optimist Youth games from 9am-3pm on the other 5 fields on the Penncrest campus and Boys JV will play at 5pm.
