Registration open for Wilmington University Women’s Lacrosse Spring Tune-Ups on January 19 (new time) and 26

January 18, 2025 by Chris Goldberg

Phillylacrosse.com, Posted 1/18/25

Eighth-year head coach Kevin Day has announced a pair of Wilmington University Women’s Lacrosse Spring Tune-Up dates for Sunday, January 19, and Sunday, January 26, at the WU Athletics Complex for all girls lacrosse players currently in grades 8-12.

The main focus of the Spring Tune-Up clinics will be on fundamentals with an emphasis on preparing for the upcoming high school season. Coach Day and his staff will take time to work on advanced offensive and defensive skills. The final portion of the prospect day will focus on small-sided, instructional games, with an emphasis on teamwork and communication.

The cost of each clinic is $20.00 per participant, with registration and payment due online at https://wildcats.athletics.wilmu.edu/camps/camps-list. They are two individual clinics, but participants are able to sign up for one, or both dates (curriculum will differ in each session).

The prospect day Sunday will take place from 9:30 to 12:00 p.m. (moved up one hour due to the pending snow) and will be held outside on the turf field located at:

1365 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702

The January 26 clinic will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Participants are required to bring their own gear as well as their own water bottle. Water will be provided on the field for refills.

For more information or any questions and concerns, please contact head coach Kevin Day at (302) 356-2025 or by email at kevin.day@wilmu.edu
