Welcome to the Team 11/Sankey Lacrosse Tryouts! Team 11 is a club lacrosse program focused on elite level training and competition so we can support players’ goals of competing at the next level . We are detail-oriented and focus on improving the individual player by their position. The focus on attention to training and development should not stop in 8th grade- we make sure that is not the case here at Team 11. Our goal is to compete in the highest level tournaments, including NLF and NAL events. However we also evaluate each team independently and enter into appropriate level tournaments for that team.
Team 11 is privately owned and our goal is to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere. Our program is run by Joey Sankey and the entire Sankey Lacrosse coaching staff. Joey Sankey played lacrosse at UNC where he remains the all-time leading point scorer in UNC Lacrosse history. He also played 7 years of professional lacrosse, including rookie of the year in 2015 and a 4-time All-Star.
Our coaching staff takes great pride in developing players. Our goal every year is to compete with and against the top programs in the country. Most importantly, we are proud of the Team 11 culture that our coaches, players, and parents have collectively built. As players get into high school, our focus is still coaching and developing our players but we start to also shift our focus on recruiting. We have recruiting seminars with our players and parents, and try and make sure our players set realistic and achievable goals as they enter the recruiting process. Program director Joey Sankey communicates with families and between college coaches when appropriate to help our players get to the next level. At Team 11 we are first and foremost committed to our PLAYERS and making sure they have the best experience possible.
