Registration open for Newtown Boys and Girls Lacrosse Camps at Veterans Park, Newtown

Registration is open for the Newtown Boys and Girls Lacrosse Camps at Veterans Park, 234 Durham Rd, Newtown.

Dates: June 23-27, July 14-18, July 28-August 1. All camps go from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

This camp is designed for the beginning player. The camp will focus on the techniques of scooping and cradling and other lacrosse skills. This camp introduces new skills, refines the basics for 1st or 2nd year players, and provides some game play. Learn the
rules of the game in a fun environment!

Participants are encouraged to bring their own lacrosse equipment, although equipment will be provided if needed.

Advanced: This camp is designed to take the lacrosse players’ experience to the next level. Camp will focus on the techniques of the game of lacrosse. Detailed drills and game situations to encourage skills and lacrosse IQ. Learn the rules of the game in a fun environment.

Individual Skill Development– All campers will be individually coached to develop and enhance sound and lasting fundamentals in the basic areas.

Positional Instruction: Campers will be taught concepts for all positions and general team concepts.
Sportsmanlike Competition: Daily competition between campers of like size and ability will enable all participants to develop
elements of teamwork and good sportsmanship.
Highlights: – Daily Skills Competition; Radar Gun and Shooting Targets

Eligibility: The camp is open to boys and girls ages 6-13. No experience necessary

Location: Veterans Park, 234 Durham Rd, Newtown, PA 18940

Director:
Paul J. Deppi has been involved with local lacrosse since 1987 as a player and coach. Paul has coached with Lower Bucks Lacrosse, Arrowhead Lacrosse and Council Rock High School. He is the current head coach of the Lower Bucks Lacrosse 5th /6th Panthers and Head Coach with Reign Lacrosse. He also serves as head Coach of Council Rock North Women’s JV Lacrosse Team. Paul received the 2009
US Lacrosse National Boys Youth Coach of the Year. He will be assisted by members of his coaching staff and local lacrosse players to ensure the highest level of instruction. Any questions please email: deppi5239@aol.com
