Philly men named to USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American teams; Hopkins DEF Smith (Conestoga) on 1st Team

John Hopkins grad student Scott Smith (Conestoga) has been named to the First-Team USA Lacrosse All-America squad as a defenseman.

Smith earned First-Team All-America honors last season from the USILA  and Inside Lacrosse and 2nd Team from USA Lacrosse.  Also a First Team All-Big Ten selection in 2024, Smith had two goals, 56 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers last season and enters his final season with seven goals, one assist, 124 ground balls and 55 caused turnovers to his credit.  He has played in 50 games with 45 starts and ranks fourth in school with his 55 career caused turnovers.  Smith graduated with a degree in political science and is enrolled in the master’s in communication program.
