Philly girls, boys compete in All America Senior Games at Towson University; game summaries included

Phillylacrosse.com 2025 Player of the Year Quinn Whitaker (Episcopal Academy/Duke) collected two goals, three draw controls and a groundball for the South in a 15-12 defeat to the North in Saturday night’s 20th annual New Balance All America Senior Game at Towson University’s Johnny Unitas Stadium.

Whitaker was one of seven Philly girls and eight overall from Pennsylvania to compete on the South team. From the North, Mackenzie Borbi (Shawnee/Syracuse) had a goal, three draw controls, and two groundballs to help key the victory.

Also for the South, Mairyn Dwyer (Agnes Irwin/North Carolina) had a goal and a draw controls, Maura Irish (Episcopal Academy/Notre Dame) had an assist, two caused turnovers, a draw control and a groundball, Caroline Chisholm (Agnes Irwin/Boston College) contributed a caused turnover and a draw control and Sienna Chirieleison (Trinity/Johns Hopkins) added two draws and a caused turnover. Also playing for the South were Jordyn Krafchick (Bayard Rustin, Boston College), Autumn Blair (Downingtown West, Florida) and Blair Fox (Malvern native, St. Anne’s-Belfield-VA/Virginia).

The Philly region was also well represented in the boys’ game – which the South won by a 20-14, decision. Rowyn Nurry (Salesianum School/Loomis Chaffee PG/Cornell) had two goals for the North.

Seven Philly girls competed in the All America Senior Game Saturday at Towson for the South, which had two Philly women serve as coaches, Amy Orcutt (Conestoga, far left joined by daughter Tilly) and Candace Taglianetti Bossell (NXT, far right). Players starting from third from left: Maura Irish / EA / ND; Blair Fox / AIS / STAB / UVa;  Autumn Blair DWest / U of FL; Caroline Chisholm / AIS / BC; Jordyn Krafchick / Rustin / BC; Quinn Whitaker / EA / Duke;  Mairyn Dwyer / AIS / UNC

For the South, Jake Bickel (Malvern Prep/Georgetown) had two goals, an assist and a groundball while Michael Ortlieb (Malvern Prep/Duke) had a goal, two assists, and a groundball. Meanwhile, Will Tantillo (Malvern Prep/Duke) had a groundball and a caused turnover and Groff Meyer (Haverford School/Virginia) won 5-of-12 faceoffs and added two groundballs. Phillylacrosse.com Player of the Year defender Evan MacFarland (Episcopal Academy/Georgetown) also played for the South.
