Kolleen Kitzinger DiPietro has been named head girls’ lacrosse coach at Coatesville.
Known as “Coach K,” DiPietro starred at Archbishop Prendergast (now Bonner-Prendie) and at Neumann University where she was a two-time All-Conference player.

DiPietro was the Prendergast head coach from 2007-09 and then spent 15 years in the United States Army and recently retired as a Sergeant First Class.
Last year, she was the Coatesville Middle School head coach and she also does private lacrosse coaching.
DiPietro replaces Mandy Pittenger, who stepped down after four seasons.
“This season is about growth—building our bench, building skills, and proving that we belong in the conversation,” said DiPietro. “We may be seen as underdogs, but our girls are hungry, talented, and driven. They have the confidence to match their skill. We’re not here to be overlooked – we’re here to compete.”
At Prendie, DiPietro was a member of the 1999 Catholic league championship team. She also starred in soccer.
A 2001 Prendie grad, DiPietro was a four-year starter and team captain at Neumann who earned team MVP (Junior and Senior years), Offensive Player of the Year (Sophomore year), and Defensive Player of the Year (Freshman year). She was named PAC Player of the Week 10 times; in her senior year, she led the conference in assists per game (2.67) and points per game (6.53).
DiPietro was recognized as a “Hometown Hero” by the Philadelphia Union in 2019 for her contributions to her community and country.
