Six members of the Temple lacrosse team were honored in the AAC’s postseason awards, headlined by Midfielder of the Year Belle Mastropietro and Defensive Player of the Year Katie Shallow. Maddie Barber and Taylor Grollman (All-AAC First Team) and Maeve Tobin and Mackenzie Roth (All-AAC Second Team) were also recognized. Both Mastropietro and Shallow were unanimous First Team selections.
MIDFIELDER OF THE YEAR
Belle Mastrpietro (Springfield-Delco) • Gr. • Temple
Mastropietro took home Midfielder of the Year honors for the third straight season after she finished as The American’s top-scoring
midfielder. Mastropietro ranked third in The American at 4.1 points per game on 39 goals and 23 assist for 62 points.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Katie Shallow (Cardinal O’Hara) • Sr. • Temple
Shallow becomes Temple’s first American Defensive Player of the Year after she finished the regular season ranked second in NCAA
Division I in caused turnovers (3.7 per game) and was fourth nationally in ground balls (3.7 per game).
FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR
Ava Bleckley (Archbishop Carroll) • D • James Madison
Bleckley leads the Dukes with 31 ground balls and 25 caused turnovers after starting all 16 regular-season games in her rookie year.
She was an ILWomen honorable mention midseason
All-America pick.
COACHING STAFF OF THE YEAR

Florida’s coaching staff was named as The American’s top staff for the third time in the last four seasons. The Gators enter the
postseason with the nation’s most prolific offense (18.3 goals per game) and fourth-leading defense (8.1 goals allowed per game).
