The West Chester 5/6 Green team won the Philadelphia Area Girls Lacrosse Association (PAGLA) Central/West “A” Division Championship on the 23rd of May in front of a large crowd at Kelly Field in West Chester.
West Chester beat a tough Rose Tree Optimist team 9-8 to win the Championship. The West Chester Green team went undefeated with a record of 10-0 and won the first PAGLA Championship for any West Chester program in its 40-year history. The team had a fast-paced offense with unselfish play that averaged 14 goals a game while its stingy defense yielded just 5 goals a game.
The team members were Allie Fusco, Ava Risley, Ava Smyth, Avery Conroy, Blake Patton, Brooklyn Kenworthy, Brynlee DeMedio, Charlotte Johnson, Dylan Blum, Emily Meilinger, Gabriella Greer, Joella Daddazio, Lauren Saviski, Leah Coluccio, Liliana Krauss, Luci Vengilio, Lucy Murray, Maddie O’Donnell, Marley Kennett, Reagan Inskeep, Selby Dean, and Tessa Boyd. The squad was coached by Kim Kenworthy and Ryan Greer.
