Why did you choose Maryland? “Being asked to be a part of the University of Maryland Women’s Lacrosse team is such an honor for me! I have always admired their deep history in lacrosse and the family they have created between their current players, their alums, and their coaches. I love how they set the bar high and yet they have fun too! Having the balance of playing lacrosse at a high level, being able to manage academics, and having fun with my team was really important to me. I just knew from the first time that I was on their campus for a camp, and met the coaches and some of the team, that Maryland would be the perfect fit for me in every way! I am super excited to be a part of their lacrosse family!”
Who do you wish to thank? “I would like to thank Candace Taglianetti Bossell, Chuck Wurzbach, Olivia Little, and NXT/NXTLC Girls for their training and guidance. They gave me an opportunity to join their NXT Black team and play on a team with some of the best players in the country! They pushed me outside of my comfort zone and gave me the guidance of what I needed to do to get to where I wanted to be. I thank all of my teammates! This has been the best journey and I am grateful to have them as teammates and friends! I would also like to thank Deemer Class for letting me, a defender, join his offensive small group training sessions each year to improve my offensive skills, and Neal at Camboyz training for getting me physically and mentally ready to perform at my best. I also would like to thank Mark Pinkerton for believing in me as a high school freshman starter and being a mentor for me as I am able to give back and help our youth players through his club, Xtreme. Xtreme and Manheim Township Lacrosse gave me my first lacrosse opportunities and helped to develop me into a competitive lacrosse player and for that I thank you! Thank you to Coleen Parmer for being my youth coach for school and club, and now my HS coach with Michelle Cavallaro and the help of Lucy Svetec this spring. We had a great run to the State Semifinals this year!! Thank you to my parents and my brother, Wells, for absolutely everything!! Lastly, THANK YOU to Phillylacrosse.com for posting clinics, training, stats and more!! It has been my go to source for information! So glad we have Phillylacrosse as a resource!”
