Central Bucks East 2026 defender/midfielder Paige Dougherty has verbally committed to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Pittsburgh.

Paige Dougherty profile:

High school: Central Bucks East, Doylestown, PA

Positions: Defense/midfield

Grad year: 2026

College committed to: University of Pittsburgh

Club team: HHH Philly

Lacrosse honors: First Team All-Tournament Juniors Open, USA U16 NTDP Combine Invitee, 2024 Committed Games Showcase All-Star, 2024 American Select top PA team (National Champions), 2023 American Select PA team (National Champions), 2023 Best in Class 2026 selection, 2023 Under Armor 150 selection, 2022 American Select All-Tournament Team, 2022 American Select PA team, Sophomore season: 2024 Midfielder of the Year 1st Team all-league – SOL 2nd Team All-Area Leading team in draw controls and goals Named one of the top returning high school girls’ lacrosse players in Bucks County area Freshman season: 2023 High School Rookie of the Year 2nd Team all-league – National Conference All-Area honorable mention Leading team in ground balls and goals as a freshman.

Academic honors: Freshman year: 4.12 GPA, all A’s, Distinguished Honors, Excellence in Science Award, Scholastic Honor Award, President’s Outstanding Academic Excellence; For freshman class – Connor Bednarzyk award for “outstanding leadership, dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship.” Sophomore Year: 4.14 GPA, all A’s, took 5 honors classes: Modern World History, Precalc/Trig, Chemistry, English 10 and Biology. Junior Year: Taking multiple AP and honors classes, Class Council, Student Council, Key Club (community service club) and President of Next Play Sports Club (Morgan’s Message Club).

Expected major: Biology, Pre-Med

Why did you choose Pitt? “When I stepped on campus it immediately felt like home. The girls were so welcoming and the coaching staff was amazing. The facilities were gorgeous and the big ACC football environment was something I admired. Pitt does a great job providing its student-athletes with resources and support. A big factor for why I chose Pitt was because it is a great school for my intended major of biology and pre-med.”
