Honoree Questions:

How do you define leadership? “Supporting and motivating others to help them reach their full potential. Personally, I lead more through my actions, rather than words. My strength is the ability to inspire and lead by example both on and off the field.”

How do you balance academics, service, and athletics? “Personally, maintaining balance in my life outside of school and sports is key for me. Simply just remembering to take care of myself physically and mentally. Making time for other hobbies that I have, as well as socializing with friends and family. Time management and communication are also crucial to maintain balance. Avoiding procrastination and keeping open lines of communication with teachers and coaches have proven advantageous for me throughout my four years in high school. Lastly, just staying flexible. Challenges and road bumps along the way are inevitable. Staying adaptable and level-headed has made navigating these conflicts much easier.”

What are your future goals (college and/or professional)? “I plan on attending college in the Fall, majoring in mechanical engineering, and continuing to play lacrosse at the club level. I look forward to challenging myself academically and building new friendships along the way.  I’m excited to see what these next four years will bring.”

Head Coach Mark Princehorn’s comments: “Will is a very dynamic player. His versatility and athleticism make him a threat to produce from all over the field. He has the ability to both create and finish from anywhere on the offensive end. He is an excellent shooter and he is phenomenal off-ball. He has a great stick, fantastic vision and high lacrosse IQ. He is extremely coachable and will do whatever is asked of him to make his team better. He is a very selfless player and great teammate. His talents also extend into the classroom where he is an AP/Honors student who holds a 3.9 GPA. Will represents all the qualities you want in a player both on and off the field. Above that, he is a fantastic person and someone who is a great representative of our program.”

High school coaches from the 5-county area, Delaware, South Jersey, the Lehigh Valley and Central PA may nominate a player (junior or senior) for the Michael Pansini Memorial Scholar-Athlete of the Week by e-mailing us at golax@phillylacrosse.com.
