Ellie Wisch scored four times and had the game-tying and game-winning goals as Conestoga claimed a thrilling 5-4 double-overtime win Tuesday over Manheim Township in the PIAA Class 3A semifinals at Exeter High.
The Pioneers (20-4) advance to Saturday’s state final vs. rival Radnor at Penn State’s Panzer Stadium at 2:30 p.m. Radnor defeated Conestoga twice this year, 7-6, on May 7 in what became a Central League title game and 9-7, on May 29 in the District 1 final.
After a scoring drought that lasted almost three quarters, Wisch scored the game-tying goal with 1:42 left in regulation and converted the game-winner off a feed from Abbie Preston.
District Three champion Manheim Township (21-5) took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Olivia Young, but Conestoga (20-4) scored the game’s next three goals as Wisch scored twice and Kiki Liebezeit tallied once.
Liv Parmer got Manheim Township within 3-2 late in the first half and Young tied it in the third period before Regan Taylor gave Manheim its first lead since the first quarter when she scored with 8:18 to play in regulation.
