Honoree Questions:
How do you define leadership? “Leadership to me is about creating a culture that people want to follow and be a part of. Leadership is inspiring others to achieve their goals. To me leadership is being the example, the how-to-do, the person who creates the culture where others can achieve success alongside each-other. A good leader creates the culture and environment needed for their peers to be successful in their pursuits.”
How do you balance academics, service, and athletics? “Keeping a full and updated calendar is important and a huge part of it. The other half is keeping a routine that allows me to be successful every day and stay on top of my commitments without getting burnt out. Taking care of personal health, whether mental or physical is a big part of staying on top of my calendar and being at my best.”
What are your future goals (college and/or professional)? “I plan on attending Colorado College and continuing my education in a political science/history double major with a music minor and walking on and possibly playing lacrosse for the school. After that I plan on becoming a teacher or lawyer, and at some point, getting a PhD that caters to whatever career I choose down the road. I take my education very seriously.”
