Caitlin Morgan, who guided Penncrest to the PIAA 3A championship in 2023, has accepted a position as assistant coach at Wilmington University.
Morgan was named Phillylacrosse.com Co-Coach of the Year in 2023 and led the Lions to the District 1 semifinals this spring. Her team reached the PIAA semifinals.
Morgan was head coach at Penncrest for 7 years. A 2001 graduate of Penncrest, she starred at West Chester and was an all-PSAC attacker in 2004 and 2005, as well as making the NCAA all-tournament team.
Wilmington competes at the Division II level and finished 14-5 this year, bowing to No. 1 seed Dominican, 20-6, in the CACC championship.
