Alex Adamczyk scored midway through the fourth quarter and Tristan Johnson scored four goals as the Arcadia University men’s lacrosse team pulled out a hard-fought, 11-10 win over visiting Ursinus on Wednesday night at Jean Lenox West Field.
With the win, the Knights evened their record at 2-2.
Johnson now has a team-leading 10 goals on the year. In total, the Knights had six different goal scorers as Billy Burton, Adamczyk, Landan Hajek (Milford, DE), Alex Herka (Milford, DE) and Andrew Borum all found the back of the net as well.
Joseph Tesler picked up his second win of the year in goal for Arcadia as he made 10 saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bears scored the first goal of the game, but Arcadia got the next two as Burton tied the game and Herka gave the Knights a 2-1 lead. The teams would then trade scores to end the quarter as Hajek and Borum scored for Arcadia. The Knights led 4-3 after the opening quarter.
Ursinus scored the only two goals of the second quarter as it led 5-4 after 30 minutes of play.
The third quarter belonged to the Knights as they outscored Ursinus, 5-3 in the quarter. Johnson (3), Burton and Adamczyk had the Arcadia tallies as it led 9-8 entering the final 15 minutes of play.
Johnson capped off his scoring in the game as he opened the fourth quarter with a goal. Ursinus scored the next two to tie the game at 10. Adamczyk then scored halfway through the fourth quarter, which turned into the game-winning goal as Arcadia closed out the 11-10 victory.
Drake Kasoff had four goals and an assist and Eddie Newman had three goals.

Holy Family picked up the first win in program history with a victory at Rosemont.

Bryce Thomas made a season-high in saves, stopping 17 of the 26 shots he faced to earn the victory
Julian Definis (Triton Regional-NJ) recorded his second hat trick of the season and added an assist
Adam Camille also had four points, including the first two-goal performance of his career
Brent McColligan (Triton Regional-NJ) and Jhay Dameus (Willingboro, N.J./Holy Cross Preparatory Academy) both scored twice as well, with McColligan adding an assist
Ben Blair topped the Tigers with four ground balls, as he won 9-of-15 faceoffs, while Dameus and Ethan Oase (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids) were second with three apiece

How It Happened
Rosemont held two early two-goal leads at 0-2 and 1-3, but three straight HFU goals, two of which Camille played a part in, gave the Tigers their first advantage at 4-3 with 3:58 left in the first. Neither team led by more than a goal from that point on until McColligan made it 10-8 2:29 into the fourth, as there were six ties and four lead changes through three quarters
Dameus and Definis then completed a run of four unanswered over the next 2:05 for the first three and four-goal cushions of the night, with the latter putting HFU ahead 12-8 with 10:26 to play. The Ravens could only get as close as 12-9 as Thomas made three saves down the stretch.
Navarro Blakes had four goals and two assists for Rosemont.
