Matt Hamill had seven goals and two assists and tallied the game-winner as Westtown School defeated host Episcopal Academy, 14-13, Thursday in the first Pennsylvania Independent School Athletic Association (PAISAA) boys’ lacrosse championship.
Westtown closes its season at 14-5, also claiming its first Friends Schools League title.
Noah Snyder had three goals and three assists for the Moose and Xander Maxwell added a goal and two assists, feeding Hamill for the game-winner. Ewen Patrick had a goal and an assist. In goal, Arjun Gill posted 11 saves for Westtown.
Westtown led, 8-5, at halftime, but EA tied it at 11-11 heading into the final period.
The Moose won 7 of its final 8 games, including a victory over Canadian power Hill Academy in the Victory Events National Prep Championships.
EA closed at 14-7.
