Gavin Tygh (Penn Charter) won 16 of 27 faceoffs and Pat Clemens (Springfield-Delco) led the defense with four groundballs and two caused turnovers as the St. Joseph’s men’s lacrosse team defeated visiting Air Force, 15-11, today before a packed house at Sweeney Field.
The Hawks notch the first win of the season to improve to 1-3 while Air Force falls to 1-4 despite four goals from Caelan Driggs (Salesianum School).
Jesse Jason tallied his first career hat trick, finishing tied with a team-high five points while adding two assists. Carter Page netted three goals. Levi Anderson had a team-high three assists while recording two goals, and Matt Bohmer moved to third all-time in program history in goals scored with his two goals, adding two assists. Toron Eccleston was the fifth Hawk to record multiple goals with two from the midfield.
Tommy Gross recorded a .542 save percentage with 13 saves on the afternoon in the net.

Antonio DeMarco (Penn Charter) had two goals to help the Tar Heels gain the win. Gabe Furey (Episcopal Academy) scored three goals for the Quakers (3-2).
