Black Bear’s 2028 squad finished its summer by winning the Aloha Summer Sizzle 2028 B Division Championship!.
The squad capped an incredible turnaround from last summer when it won just three games. Black Bear put it all together down Maryland going 5-1 this past weekend including big wins over SJ Shamrocks, which beat the 2028s in the East Coast Cup Finals just three weeks ago. Black Bear also beat a tough True NJ team in Sunday’s Semi-Final after losing to True the day before. The boys left no doubt early as they cruised to a 7-2 win in the Championship over HEADstrong 2028 7-2 to take home the Aloha crown..
Black Bear was led by Perkiomen Valley and Black Bear Co-Owner Bryan Churchey, former Springfield-Delco Youth Coach Mike Orlando, former Post University & PV Alum Nick Steele, current St. Mary’s College of MD Defenseman and Methacton Alum Cole Kleger, and current Capital University Goalie & Methacton Alum Wyatt Stemler.

Black Bear will be holding tryouts for their 2028 team on Wednesday July 17th 5:30-7pm at Perkiomen Valley High School in Collegeville, PA. Those interested can register via the link below:
The Team features players who will be heading to play at the following high schools in 2024/25: Berks Catholic, Boyertown, Daniel Boone, Malvern Prep, Owen J. Roberts, Perkiomen Valley, Souderton, Spring-Ford, & Twin Valley.
Black Bear Lacrosse Club is based in Collegeville, PA and is the oldest independent boys lacrosse club in southeastern PA established in 2006-2007. They are a Player-Focused program that has a passion to serve its community through its boys and girls travel teams, camps, and clinics. Their mission is to help players reach the highest level they desire through a TEAM FIRST culture and instruction focus developing the full player.
