Nate Vella is hoping his versatility will attract college interest.
The 2025 from Bethlehem Liberty scored 48 goals this season and already has 132 in his career. When he competes Friday in the Victory Events Beast of the East at MSI Sports Village in Aston, he’d like to show the coaches he can also play midfield and supply offense in many ways.

“I played attack this season, but I play both attack and midfield in club,” said Vella, who plays travel for True Valley. “My biggest strengths are my shooting and accuracy as well as my dodging.
“I’m hoping to get some good exposure (this Friday). I want them to see how I can contribute and be an asset to a college team.”
Spots are limited for the showcase, but all positions are open except for goalie. Click here to register – https://victoryeventseries.leagueapps.com/events/3967533-beast-of-the-east-showcase-2024
This year Liberty went 7-10 and set a school mark for wins. The young program continues to grow.
“We had a really good start and then had the tough part of our schedule,” said Vella. I think we played well as a team and had strong defense. there is still room for improvement.”
Vella also will compete in the True Stacked Showcase on July 11 in Glen Burnie, MD.
“I’m still working on my shooting and dodging and my footwork,” he said. “I want to work on my conditioning so I can play middie for my high school team next year and I know it will help for recruiting.”
