From Press Release and Staff Report
West Chester Graduate student Lindsay Monigle (Rehoboth Beach, Del./Cape Henlopen), earned a pair of weekly honors from two different organizations Tuesday when the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and USA Lacrosse both picked her as their athlete of the week.

Monigle scored eight goals and registered seven assists for a 15-point week in West Chester’s two wins last week over Shepherd and No. 23 Bentley. The Golden Rams topped Shepherd, 20-9, on the road in its season opener one week ago while topping Bentley in its home opener, 17-3.
Monigle put up five goals and two assists in the Bentley game, which was a tribute game to former Golden Rams player, Julia Rossi, who passed away unexpectedly last November. In that contest, Monigle scored her 100th career goal and registered her 200th career point. She becomes just the seventh player in school history to reach double figures in both goals and assists.
Also earning USA Lacrosse Player of the Week for Division III was Messiah senior defensive midfielder Grace Gormley (The Christian Academy). Gormley helped Messiah defeat powerful Gettysburg, 10-6, winning nine draws to go with four ground balls and four caused turnovers. She also had that exact line in the season opener against Scranton, another win for Messiah.
