Today, the Philadelphia Wings announced their exciting lineup of theme nights for the 2023-2024 season. Coming off two games on the road to launch the season, the Wings will return to the Wells Fargo Center turf for their home opener this Saturday, December 16 against the Albany FireWolves at 1:00 p.m.
To kick off the theme night schedule, the Wings will embrace their inner emo with An Emo Evening with special guests The Starting Line on Saturday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m. Following two sold out performances last week, the pop punk band will return home for an epic halftime performance as fans celebrate the best of emo all night long. On Saturday, March 2 at 1:00 p.m., the Wings will celebrate Marvel Super Hero™ Day when they take on the Calgary Roughnecks. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive the first of three annual editions of Marvel’s “Legends of Lacrosse” comic book, made exclusively for the NLL, which will feature Wings captain Blaze Riorden. During the game the Wings will wear custom, Marvel-inspired jerseys that fans can bid on and win in support of Wings Charities, while replica jerseys and additional Marvel-branded Wings merchandise will also be available for the first time at the Team Store.
To close out the regular season, the Wings will unofficially kick off WrestleMania 40 Week here in Philadelphia with their WWE Game on Saturday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m. Their opponent will be the current NLL Championship titleholders and long-time rival, the Buffalo Bandits, and Wings and WWE fans alike can look forward to a special appearance from a WWE Superstar at the game.
To top things off, fans in attendance on both Sunday March 10th and Saturday March 30th, will enjoy $1 Ice Cream, compliments of Turkey Hill.
