Cole Joseph Princehorn, son of first-year Prep coach Mark Princehorn, was born on November 30, 2020 and at his 2-month appointment, it was learned he was suffering from Biliary Atresia. The rare congenital disease, which afflicts infants, causes a blockage in the ducts that carry bile from the liver to the gallbladder.
Cole underwent a 7-hour surgery and has made great progress while undergoing treatments for 2 years. In July he had a liver transplant. Cole is still giving the good fight as he was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Post Transplant Lymphomic Disorder (PTLD).
Coach Princehorn previously coached at Souderton and then at Lansdale Catholic before coming to St. Joe’s Prep this year. The Prep is 9-4 and has won five straight games, while Souderton is 11-3 and has won seven in a row.
Penn Park is located behind Franklin Field off the campus at the University of Pennsylvania.
