Radnor keeps hold of top spot in Phillylacrosse Boys’ Rankings – Sponsored by @NXTlacrosse

The Phillylacrosse.com Boys’ Rankings:

Explanation: Radnor keeps its hold on the No. 1 spot after defeating Springfield-Delco in overtime. Academy of the New Church and Haverford School each gain mention due to their schedules and wins over elite teams. Spring-Ford returns to the rankings at No. 11 after a win over previously undefeated Downingtown East; the Rams also have defeated Springfield-Delco. Boyertown also enters the Top 15, off to its best start in history at 9-0 after edging previously-undefeated Downingtown West, 17-16. Defending PIAA 3A champion Mars (No. 11) suffered its first loss, 7-6, to Ohio power Upper Arlington on Saturday; Arlington will play No. 7 Salesianum School next Sunday.

Games to Watch: No. 3 Haverford School hosts No. 8 Springside Chestnut Hill on Tuesday in the Inter-Ac; No. 5 Episcopal Academy hosts SCH on Friday; No. 1 Radnor hosts No. 11 Spring-Ford on Saturday and also on Saturday No. 2 Academy of the New Church meets No. 4 Malvern Prep at Penn State’s Panzer Stadium in a game pitting two head coaches (ANC’s Jack Forster and Malvern’s Matt Mackrides) who were linemates on attack at Penn State over a decade ago.
