With so many options to play lacrosse on both the girls’ and boys’ side with clubs, camps, clinics, showcase events, “all-star” teams, etc., Todd MacFarlane, owner of Performance Academy noticed that players and parents were getting pulled in many different directions and wasting time and money. In addition, clubs, programs, schools, and organizations needed help supporting their families so MacFarlane created Performance Academy to support the growing demand for professional skill development, SAT/ACT Test Prep, Speed, Conditioning and Fitness training, and College Recruiting support for boys and girls.
Performance Academy prides itself on being neutral with all clubs, programs, and organizations. Also, its strong focus on creating personal long-lasting relationships is the key to helping support not just the individual player or family but all programs, organizations, and teams.
On the skill development side, the programs have a low player-to-coach ratio, stated MacFarlane. Generally, programs have a 10 to 1 player/coach ratio, and with a staff that has NCAA, NLL, PLL, and World-Team experience the players are getting hands-on professional instruction offensively and defensively.
“We found out very quickly that we needed help as well to support the demand of professional skill development, SAT/ACT Test Prep, Speed-Conditioning- Fitness and College Recruiting. We want to make sure we never lose personal relationships and give every player, family, club, and organization we work with 100%. That said, our main goal is Professional Skill Development on both the girls’ and boys’ side,” said MacFarlane.
For the remaining platforms of SAT/ACT Test Prep Performance Academy has partnered with Franklin Yard and will be announcing new partnerships soon that will cover the Speed-Conditioning-Fitness area. As far as College Recruiting, they limited their service to 50 clients to ensure all get the attention they need.
