Honoree Questions:
How do you define leadership? “In my mind leadership takes place both on and off of the field. It means lifting people up and creating a positive team environment while also holding teammates accountable. For me, being a good leader means being able to put the team before myself and motivate teammates towards a common goal.”
How do you balance academics, service, and athletics? “I have been fortunate to be at a school that values the balance of academics, athletics, and service. For me, it is not about choosing between them, but sustaining the balance and energy that gives me the room to push myself in each area, and I am happiest when I can keep that balance.”
What are your future goals? “I have always wanted to pursue a career in medicine and compete for a national championship, and while they seem far away, I am excited to bring the two together at Hopkins and learn as much as I can on the field and in the classroom.”
