Downingtown East 2023 LSM Mike Waite has been named the Pansini Law Group Boys’ Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
The award recognizes senior and junior lacrosse players that excel in academics, service, and athletics.

Athletic Achievements: Team Captain (2023), 2X 1st Team All-Ches-Mont (‘22, ‘23), 1st Team All-Area (‘22), 1st Team All-State (‘22), 2X Undisputed Ches-Mont Champion (‘22, ‘23), 2X All-America Underclass (’20, ’22), 2X Downingtown East “Box-To-Box” MVP (’21, ’22), Downingtown East “Defensive MVP” (’23); selected to play in the Valor Bowl (football All-Star Game)

How do you define leadership? “Leadership is being able to guide and direct people in the right direction. And to be someone people can look up to and trust.”
How do you balance academics, service, and athletics? “I balance my academics, service, and athletics by prioritizing them while making sure to give myself time to get everything done. I like to make sure I am focused on school and then sports and service come after. I usually have time for everything and I’m able to fit in everything perfectly.”
What are your future goals? “My goal is to have a successful and memorable academic and athletic college experience.”
