The host Philadelphia Wings dominated the first three periods Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center and blitzed the Albany FireWolves, 13-5, in a National Lacrosse League contest.

Philadelphia (3-4) led 3-1 after the first quarter, and then outscored the FireWolves (2-4) 6-0 in the second and third quarters. It was the Wings’ first home win of the year.
Players with Albany connections did a lot of Philadelphia’s damage. Joe Resetarits, who formerly played for the FireWolves, led the Wings in scoring with four goals and four assists. Blaze Riorden, a former goalie for UAlbany but a field player in box lacrosse, added two goals. Matt Rambo (La Salle) had a goal and an assist and five loose balls.
Meanwhile, former Wing and local product Brett Manney (Holy Ghost Prep, Delaware) had a caused turnover and was hit with two penalties.
Philadelphia also controlled faceoffs, winning 18 of 22 behind Trevor Baptiste.
John LaFontaine and Connor Kelly led Albany with two goals apiece. Doug Jamieson made 36 saves.
