The first preseason rankings are in ahead of the 2023 season and the University of Pennsylvania men’s lacrosse team have checked in at ninth in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Preseason Top 20, announced Tuesday afternoon by USA Lacrosse Magazine.
The Quakers, who claimed the Ivy League Tournament crown in 2022, advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals a season ago before being ousted by Rutgers, 11-9, with a berth to the Final Four on the line.
Penn will see five members of the top 10 – Georgetown (No. 3), Cornell (No. 4), Princeton (No. 5), Duke (No. 7) and Yale (No. 8) – during the 2023 campaign.
The Quakers’ regular season gets underway February 18 against the Hoyas in Washington, D.C.
