Wissahickon graduate Scott Pfeiffer was added to the Maryland men’s lacrosse roster this week as a reserve goaltender.
The 6-foot-2 Pfeiffer, a Third-Team All-Phillylacrosse.com pick in 2021 when he helped the Trojans reach the PIAA 3A quarterfinals, is a sophomore eligible.
Maryland, the defending NCAA Division I champion, has been hit hard by injuries to its goaltenders. Starter Logan McNaney suffered a knee injury in the Terrapins’ season-opening loss to Loyola and reserve Wes Schmidt is currently out with an injury.
Pfeiffer also was an All-EPLCA and First-Team All-Suburban One American Conference pick in 2021 when the Trojans finished 18-6 and fell to eventual state champion Radnor in the quarterfinals.
