From Press Release

The Ivy League announced the postseason accolades for women’s lacrosse, and the No. 14 University of Pennsylvania nearly swept the major awards while landing 10 Quakers on All-Ivy teams.

Izzy Rohr

A record-breaking collection on the major award front saw the Quakers score four of the five major awards, the most in program history for a single season. Furthermore, three were unanimous selections.

Senior Niki Miles was named Attacker of the Year, sophomore Anna Brandt earned Midfielder of the Year, senior Izzy Rohr (Episcopal Academy) claimed Defender of the Year, and Lois S. Leitner head coach Karin Corbett collected Coach of the Year. Miles, Rohr, and Corbett all were unanimous picks from their Ivy League peers.

It is just the second time in Ivy League history that a program secured four out of the five major awards, and the first time a program swept the three field positions (attacker, midfielder, defender).

The Quakers secured 10 spots on All-Ivy teams as well. Miles, Brandt, and Rohr were all unanimous selections to first team. Seniors Grace Fujinaga and Kelly Van Hoesen, juniors Kaitlyn Cumiskey and Maria Themelis, and sophomore Erika Chung all earned spots on second team. Junior Aly Feeley and sophomore Natasha Gorriaran each landed spots on honorable mention.

Additionally, Rohr was named Academic All-Ivy.

Rohr showed no signs of missing the last two seasons due to injury with a stellar year on the backline for the Quakers. Her unanimous Defender of the Year honor and unanimous first-team selection are both her first career Ivy postseason awards. A three-time Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, she started in all 15 games to lead the league in caused turnovers (23) and rank fifth in ground balls (31). Rohr had five games this season with multiple caused turnovers including a career day against then-No. 13 Yale with five caused turnovers and four ground balls.
