St. Joe’s Prep
League: Philadelphia Catholic
Head Coach: Mark Princehorn (1st year, 10 years overall and 9th season, including Covid year, as a head coach, formerly Souderton and Lansdale Catholic); assistants Frankie McCarthy, Bo Olshefsky, Brian McGrath, Jack Newswanger, Alex Filbert
2022 Record: 17-7
2022 Team Honors: PCL Runner up, AAA Semifinalists
Opener date & opponent: @ Garnet Valley 3/18 12:45pm
Key returners: Anthony Laber (Hofstra), Grant Snyder, Teddy Fenlin, Keegan Dunn, Luke Bieberbach, Trot Cush
Key newcomers: Chase Carle, Nick Cunningham, Conall Maguire, Drew Reeves, Tyle DeGirolamo
Coach’s Outlook for 2023: “We have a very competitive and motivated group that has a lot of potential. We return good experience on offense and we have a lot of talent across the field. I am very proud of how these guys have bought in and their desire to get better every day. We work very hard and will continue to do so. Our main goal is to be playing our best lacrosse in May.”

Lansdale Catholic
League: Philadelphia Catholic League
Head Coach: Jared Mayes — 1st year head coach at Lansdale, coached previously at Archbishop Wood, Penn State Abington, Upper Moreland (19th year); Mike Dineen — Assistant Coach (looking for additional coaches)
2022 Record — 15-8, District 12 AA Champions
Season opener: at Shipley (03/17)
Home opener vs Springfield (03/24)
PCL opener at Archbishop Ryan (03/29)
Key returning: Patch Flannery (Sr/M), Matthew Shragher (Sr/D), Jack Kennedy (Jr/GK), Dan Curran (Jr/FO/M)
2023 Outlook: “We spent time over Winter developing team culture to get us off to a good start. We have great leaders on both sides of the ball. We’re looking to finish strong in the always-challenging PCL and qualify for post-season play in May and June.”
