Germantown Academy’s One Love Foundation helping GA dedicate home lacrosse games to honor One Love’s mission

Germantown Academy’s One Love Club, in its first year, is helping the GA boys’ and girls’ teams in dedicating upcoming lacrosse games to honor One Love’s mission. The GA boys are dedicating their home game vs. Malvern Prep on Friday at 4 p.m. and the GA girls are dedicating their home game vs. Mercersburg Academy on May 10th at 4:15 p.m.

In addition, the GA One Love Club is doing a one-day fundraiser at the Conshohocken Proving Grounds during the NXT MS Spring League from 8:00 am-5:00 pm. on Sunday, May 7. Nike men’s and women’s shooting shirts will be sold for $30 and 100% of the profits will go to One Love. The Proving Grounds are at 725 Conshohocken Rd Conshohocken.

The One Love Foundation is dedicated to improving the relationship health of future generations. The non-profit organization has educated more than 1.8 million young people through educational workshops, both in-person and online, by teaching them the signs of unhealthy and healthy relationship behaviors. One Love was founded in honor of Yeardley Love, a 22-year-old University of Virginia lacrosse player student-athlete whose life was tragically cut short when she was killed by her ex-boyfriend. Her family learned during the trial that her death could have been prevented had they recognized the signs of an abusive relationship. For more information, visit joinonelove.org
