Great Valley High School is excited to announce the hiring of Jon Knowles as the head varsity boys’ lacrosse coach.

Jon Knowles

Most recently, Jon Knowles was the Head Coach at Marywood University from 2019-2022, and was named the 2022 Atlantic East Conference Coach of the Year.

In four seasons with the Pacers, the program earned 13 All-Conference honors, including five First-Team Selections, and the 2022 Rookie of the Year.  The 2022 season saw the Pacers break five program records and earn the #3 seed in the Atlantic East Tournament.

Prior to Marywood, Knowles was the Head Coach at the Scranton Preparatory School in Scranton, PA.  A 3-time Northeast PA Coach of the Year, Knowles led the Cavaliers to a pair of Wyoming Valley League championships and two District II Championship appearances.  Several of his players would go on to play college lacrosse across all divisions.

Currently, Knowles serves as the Director of Lacrosse Operations for the HEADstrong Foundation.
