Episcopal Academy will open its girls’ lacrosse season Saturday at national power McDonogh School (MD) in the McDonogh Invitational. The tourney will include scrimmages with Archbishop Carroll and Manheim Township.
McDonogh – ranked No. 4 in the Inside Lacrosse Power Rankings and No 5 by Lacrosse Magazine – meets EA at 11 a.m. EA is also ranked nationally, No. 7 by Lacrosse Magazine and No. 15 by Inside Lacrosse. EA is ranked No. 3 behind Carroll (No. 1) and Conestoga (No. 2) in the region by Phillylacrosse.com. Nationally, Carroll is ranked No. 6 by Lacrosse Magazine.
Also at 11 a.m. two-time defending PIAA 2A champion Carroll and Manheim Township (four straight seasons as PIAA 3A runner-up) will scrimmage. Manheim is ranked No. 4 in the region by Phillylacrosse.com. At 1:30 McDonogh will scrimmage Manheim Township and at 3 p.m. McDonogh will scrimmage Archbishop Carroll.
