The Duke’s Lacrosse Club 2028 squad (7th Grade) qualified for this summer’s Lacrosse World Series during last weekend’s East Regional Qualifier at the Delaware Turf Complex in Frederica.
The event featured many of the top 2028 teams from the country and select groups of international teams. Duke’s 2028 was one of five teams that advance to the Lacrosse World Series Championship June 28-July 1 at the Mecklenburg County Sportsplex in Matthews, N.C. Duke’s defeated Jersey Express, 5-4, to earn the fifth qualifying berth.
Teams from five regions advanced to the World Series.
This Duke’s 2028 team has been working extremely hard all year. The Lacrosse World Series is much like the Little League Baseball World Series — you only get one shot (7th-grade year) to qualify and compete. Duke’s is ranked #2 in Pennsylvania and #22 in the country (its highest national ranking this season came in at #9 in the fall).
