Widener senior Connor Heisman (Bishop Shanahan) picked up the MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week honor for his efforts throughout the week of March 20 – 26, the conference announced.
Heisman, a senior attacker, totaled 12 goals and five assists in a 2-0 week for Widener. The senior scored five goals and tossed two assists in a win over Colby before scoring seven goals and recording three assists in a victory over Arcadia.
Mercer CC’s Kalinowski is honored
The Garden State Athletic Conference has named Jack Kalinowski (Pennsbury) of Mercer County College College, men’s lacrosse player of the week for the week ending on March 26.
Freshman attacker Kalinowski continues to be an offensive force for the Vikings, helping them to a 3-0 start. In a 16-7 win at Del Tech last week, Kalinowski had 7 goals and 1 assist. In a 15-10 win at Hudson Valley, Kalinowski had 6 goals. In 3 games, Kalinowski has 18 goals, which is 5th best in the nation.
Atlantic East honors Philly players
The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday for the week ending on March 26th. Cabrini’s Dillon McManus was named Player of the Week, while Immaculata’s Matthew Ludlow (Upper Moreland) was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Brief Outlook of Week: McManus scored three times on five shots with four on frame against Tufts on March 21. Followed the Tufts game up with six goals and one assist on 15 shots with 11 on frame against Eastern on March 25th. For the week he totaled nine goals, with ten points on the week. Saturday’s game against Eastern marked the fourth time that McManus scored three or more goals.

Brief Outlook of Week: Ludlow stood on his head this week the team to a pair of wins. Over his two games, he made 34 saves, a 78.1% save percentage, and had 14 groundballs and two caused turnovers. He made 19 saves in the teams win over Delaware Valley on March 22nd. He then made 15 saves allowing only two goals in three quarters against Mount Saint Vincent.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Anthony Inserra (Sr., Midfield, Immaculata/Ocean City-NJ): Inserra had five goals and added one assist in the team’s 13-9 win over Delaware Valley on March 22nd, surpassing the 100-point mark for his career. The senior had two goals and three assists, and added seven groundballs during the team’s 12-5 win over the College of Mount Saint Vincent. For the he scored seven goals and added four assists.
Ian Kish (So., Attack, Gwynedd Mercy/Bethlehem Catholic): Kish totaled a career-high six points on five goals and an assist in a 17-6 win over Bryn Athyn and scored three goals in aa 24-9 loss to Messiah. He finished the week with nine points on eight goals and one assist, and groundballs.
