College Coach’s Poll: Stevens picked to win women’s MAC Freedom; Arcadia tabbed for 4th

The Stevens Ducks were selected as the favorite in the 2023 conference preseason poll conducted among the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom women’s lacrosse coaches. The Ducks collected six first-place votes from opposing coaches for a total of 62 points. FDU – Florham followed with 59 points and three first-place votes.

In 2022, Stevens defeated top-seeded FDU – Florham to win its first MAC Freedom title. The Ducks finished 7-1 in conference play to earn the No. 2 seed in tournament play.

Stevens advanced to the NCAA Tournament and picked up a first round victory over SUNY Canton before falling in the second round to No. 1 Salisbury. Stevens finished with an 18-3 overall record.

The 2023 season is set to begin on Wednesday, Feb. 8. Conference play will begin on Wednesday, March 29, with an eight-game schedule.

The 2023 MAC Freedom Women’s Lacrosse Championship is set for May 1-6th. The top-five seeds will battle for the conference title and the NCAA Division III Championship automatic qualifier (AQ).
