@BerwynClub boys’ recruit: Bishop Shanahan 2024 MID/ATT Weber commits to Stockton

December 22, 2023 by Chris Goldberg

Phillylacrosse.com, Posted 12/22/23

Bishop Shanahan 2024 midfielder/attackman Ryan Weber has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Stockton University.

Ryan Weber Profile:

High school: Bishop Shanahan, Downingtown, PA

Positions: Midfield/Attack

Grad year: 2024

College committed to: Stockton University

Club team: Freedom 2024

Lacrosse honors: Named team captain junior and senior year

Academic honors: First Honors all 4 years

Expected major: Health Science (Pre-Physical Therapy track)

Why did you choose Stockton? “I knew from the moment I stepped on campus that it was the school for me. It’s in the perfect location, just about 15 minutes from the New Jersey beach. Head coach Kevin Zulauf and the rest of the lax guys were super welcoming and friendly and made me feel like I was already a part of the team. I can’t think of a single thing wrong with the school.”

Who do you wish to thank for helping you achieve this honor? “I want to thank my mom and dad for supporting me every step of the way; my cousin Andy Giandonato, who introduced me to the sport and is my greatest role model; my school head coach, Jon Heisman, and assistant coaches Paul Meyers, Jeff Poake, and Tommy Seifert; my club coach, Jason Merrick, who always had confidence in me; and finally, my Coatesville youth rec coach, Darrell Wilder, who forged my love for the game.”

Other schools considered: DeSales and Messiah
