After a thorough search that included candidates meeting with members of the Athletic Department, Administration, and lacrosse players, Academy of the Notre Dame is excited to announce the appointment of Anna McNevin as the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach.
Coach McNevin has extensive experience coaching lacrosse at both the club and high school level. She served as Varsity Lacrosse Coach at St. Paul’s School for Girls in Baltimore, Downingtown East, and Cohasset High School (MA), helping to lead Cohasset to state championships in 2017 and 2019 and runner-up in 2021.
Prior to coaching, Anna played locally at Downingtown High School and at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where she helped her team win two NEC championships and was named the team MVP her senior season. Anna shares, “I’m very excited to be given the opportunity to coach this amazing group of young women. The Academy of Notre Dame has a long history of success and talent. I look forward to watching the girls grow as student-athletes and to creating a culture of success and sisterhood for years to come!”
