The 2026 Tigers XXVI Lacrosse team won the NLF Summer Kickoff championship Sunday at Blue Sky Sports Complex in Middletown, N.Y.
The Tigers beat Long Island Express, 11-6, in the semifinal and Laxachusetts Black, 7-4, in the Championship. This was the Tigers’ third win this season over Long Island Express, which was ranked No. 1 heading into this weekend by US Club Lacrosse Rankings (Tigers were No. 2).
The team included Patrick Moloney, Bo McMenamin, Chace Hixson, Maximus Slattery, Finn French, Rees Pionteck, Talon Anton, Cooper Heilig, Dylan Novak, Cole Carberry , Declan Heilig, Braiden Delacy, Tyler Rotkowitz, Brody Garrison, Thomas Ploszay (G), Charlie Regan, Anthony Costa, Matt Kelley, Tommy Macaneny, Torey Cooper, Henry Bertelsen, Evan Fulton (not pictured Jack Fleming & Danny Lawyer ).
Coaches were Dave Sowers, Bill McGlone, Colby Cohen , Chris Mandarino, Quint Slattery and Jesse Carberry. Other coaches who have assisted in training the team include Michael Sowers, Jordan Wolf, Adam Mueller, Todd MacFarlane, Brian Dougherty, Ryan Boyle, Mitch Belisle, Niko Amato, Colby Cohen, John Bodnar, Billy Conners, George Baughan, Charlie Cunniffe, Nick Bates, Andrew Clarke, Roman Buono, Wills Burt, Billy McKinney, Erik Peters, PJ Finley, George Corrigan, Kenny Williams, Sean Christman, Shawn Kaplan and Andrew McMeekin.
