Penn*Lax All-Stars, one of the nation’s leading box programs, is hosting tryouts for Pennsylvania’s most talented youth and High School players in early October for both boys and girls at MapleZone Sports Institute (now Ascent) in Garnet Valley..
Penn*Lax is a winter-only box all-star team training with supremely credentialed coaches, while competing against some of the best box teams in the country. The Penn*Lax coaching staff includes multiple former and current National Lacrosse League (NLL) players and coaches. A host of division one players have come through the P*L program and the training provided enables a distinct advantage in the outdoor game

The Penn*Lax mission as stated by co-founder Steven Holmes:
“Penn*Lax was built on two major foundations,” said Holmes. “First, using the box game as a strategic training tool to build a complete lacrosse player with the best talent in PA. Second, is delivering that training with the most knowledgeable coaches possible.
“We are extremely lucky to have so many box experts in the Philadelphia area and most have been on our staff for years. The evolution in the box game has been so exciting in the US and our tournaments are some of the most exciting and competitive lacrosse you will find in the club scene in any season throughout the year. All of the country’s top players are competing in the box now, and our hard work has produced some excellent results for our program.”
