Registration is open for Navy women’s lacrosse camps for youth and high school girls’ players this summer. The one-day camps/clinics are led by legendary Navy coach Cindy Timchal, a Haverford High and West Chester alum.
Navy Sports Camps are offered throughout the year on the iconic campus of the United States Naval Academy located within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and hotels in historic Annapolis, MD. Just like its student-athletes and coaches, Navy Sports Camps are the BEST of the BEST.
Every camper will have the opportunity to learn from the coaching staff, develop new relationships, and understand what it takes to be a Navy student-athlete. It is truly a one-of-a-kind camp experience.
Hall of Fame head coach Timchal was named the first women’s lacrosse coach at the United States Naval Academy on August 5, 2006, and in short order, has laid the foundation for a Navy program that is moving quickly in its quest to become a NCAA Division I power. Timchal, who has coached colege lacrosse for 40 years, is the NCAA’s all-time leader in career wins for Division I women’s college lacrosse. Additionally, her eight national titles are the eighth most by a coach in a women’s sport in NCAA history, and the 26th most in all sports, men and women combined.
In 2017, Timchal and the Navy lacrosse team made history as it became the first Service Academy team from a women’s sport to advance to the NCAA Final Four. The Midshipmen followed the 2017 NCAA run with a trip to the NCAA Elite Eight in 2018.
