Registration for Black Bear’s ELITE Winter Training Academy is now open for registration.

Do you want to learn how to sting a corner or leave a defender in the dust, increase your physicality on defense, or make game-deciding saves in the cage?
Then JOIN THE MOVEMENT this winter to Learn from top coaches at the Elite Winter Training Academy now hosted at the Brand-New state of the art Indoor Turf Complex The Far Post in Limerick.
The academy is for Intermediate and Advanced Players ONLY in grades 5th Through 8th (5pm to 6pm) and 9th through 12th (6pm to 7pm) who are looking to be pushed beyond their current lacrosse and athletic skill sets in a competitive team first environment.

When? Fridays November 11th, 18th; December 2nd, 9th, & 16th
Youth (5th-8th grade) 5pm-6pm
High School (9-12th grade) 6pm-7pm
COST? 295 per player

Bryan Churchey-2x mercury newspaper coach of the year (2018/2021) & a Phillylacrosse.com Coach of the Year nominee in 2021, head coach of the 2024 & 2026 teams, HS program director, head coach at Perkiomen Valley high school.
Offensive Coaches:
Matt Gress- 2025 Offensive Assistant & Assistant at Swarthmore College.
Jack Scaliti-Sophomore Midfielder Stevenson University (2021 Mercury Newspaper Player of the Year), & Guest Offensive Coaches from Local Colleges!
Defensive Coaches:
Nick Marren- Perkiomen Valley Defensive Coordinator; Played Defense at Lehigh University.
Remy Sell- Perkiomen Valley Defensive Assistant Coach; Played LSM/Defense at Seton Hill University (All-American in 2021)
Goalie Coach:
Kevin Mo- Newly Announced Head Coach at Owen J. Roberts High School; 2029 Head Coach and 3x Captain, 2x All-American, & 3x Starter at Seton Hill University.
Black Bear’s ELITE Winter Training Academy is tailored towards advanced and intermediate skilled players who are looking for an edge on their competition.
This performance-based curriculum uses FOUR-CORE Areas:
1) Foundational Player Development
2) Athletic Skill Set Development
3) Positional Skill Set Development
4) Mental (Lax IQ) Development
Why Register?
QUALITY over Quantity: For each hour of training we are capping enrollment currently at 4 Goalies, 12 10 Defenseman, 6 LSMs, 10 Midfielders, and 10 Attackmen PER SESSION (40 athletes total)
QUALITY Coaches: We will have weekly an 5-to-1 player-to-coach ratio. Athletes will go through five 60-minute weekly sessions of our Performance-Based Curriculum in an up-tempo, high energy environment!

What’s in this Performance-Based Curriculum?
1) Foundation Skill Development
Passing, Catching, Ground balls: We start every session with our traffic-passing drill for a high rep, no standing, fast-paced Foundational skill work. RH-LH-Splits-Gbs 100 reps in less than 10 minutes
2) Athletic Skill Development
Agility, Change-Of-Direction, Quickness: Next every athlete will spend 15 minutes going through evidence-based and proven athletic performance drills that are designed around making you a better athlete and lacrosse player. Be prepared to SWEAT MORE for greatness!
3) Position Skill Development
Challenging curriculum that builds week to week

4) Mental (LAX IQ) Development
Each week we will be focusing on different team concepts on both sides of the ball that will help our players better understand the purpose of the “WHY” behind each area of focus. Each week students will be given a homework assignment by their coaches to study a short YouTube Video from one of our favorite people Patrick Chapla of “POWLAX. Check his channel for great “how to” videos on understanding the game of lacrosse.
