Phillylacrosse Boys’ Rankings: La Salle takes over No. 1 spot; St. Joe’s Prep enters at No. 6

The 2022 Phillylacrosse.com Boys’ Rankings:

  1. La Salle (1-0) Prev: No. 2 – The Explorers were impressive in Friday’s 9-5 win over Radnor. They face another big test Tuesday when they play at No. 5 Malvern Prep.
  2. Haverford School (2-2) Prev: No. 1 – The Fords play at nationally-ranked Lawrenceville School (N.J.) on Saturday.
  3. Radnor (0-1) Prev: No. 3 – The Raptors have no time to fret over falling to La Salle; they play Tuesday at No. 11 Conestoga in their Central League opener.
  4. Malvern Prep (2-2) Prev: No. 5 – The Friars look to rebound from a 12-7 loss to Lawrenceville when they host No. 1 La Salle Tuesday.
  5. Episcopal Academy (2-2) Prev: No. 4 – The Churchmen play at No. 14 Cape Henlopen today in Lewes, DE.
  6. St. Joseph’s Prep (1-0) Prev: NR – The Hawks surprised a few people when they defeated Garnet Valley in overtime in Friday night’s opener.
  7. Salesianum School-DE Prev: No. 6 (2-0) – The Sals had their showdown at Cape Henlopen moved from this week to May 3.
  8. Academy of the New Church (3-1) Prev: No. 9 – The Lions host Manheim Township today and No. 11 Conestoga Saturday.
  9. Springfield-Delco (1-0) Prev: No. 10 – The Cougars – fresh off a nice opening-day 14-6 win over Wissahickon – host No. 10 Garnet Valley Tuesday in their Central League opener.
  10. Garnet Valley (0-1) Prev: No. 7 – The Jaguars look to bounce back from the OT loss to St. Joe’s Prep Tuesday when they host Harriton in their Central League opener.
  11. Conestoga (0-1) Prev: No. 8 – The Pioneers lost a tough 1-goal game to Gilman School (MD). It doesn’t get easier Tuesday when they host No. 3 Radnor.
  12. St. Augustine Prep-NJ (0-0) Prev: No. 11 – The Hermits look to challenge in New Jersey’s Non-Public A race.
  13. Hill School (2-0) Prev: No. 12 – The Blues appear to have the firepower to make their mark this season.
  14. Cape Henlopen-DE (0-0) Prev: No 13 – The Vikings have a great opener today when they host No. 5 Episcopal Academy.
  15. Allentown Central Catholic (1-0) Prev: No. 14 – The Vikings play Saturday at Westtown School.
